Bespoke. Originally meaning to speak for someone, the word now describes something custom made. At Evolo Design we believe in a similar transformation of the client-designer relationship–it is not our job as designers to impose our vision or ‘push product’ but rather to work alongside our clients to compose custom spaces individualized to their personal style. Using resources such as the A&D Building in New York and Design Center in Chicago and international perspectives gleaned from fairs such as Maison & Objet in France and Art Basel in Switzerland, our designers use a flexible design model that adapts to fit each client’s specific needs and allows us to deliver quality, high-end results, from pristine master bath remodels to whole-home transformations.

Bespoke

At Evolo Design, we believe that the term ‘made-to-measure’ shouldn’t be reserved for fashion and runways but should extend to and transform a home. We believe in the integrity of excellent design, curating each piece for your home and fashioning it to your unique ideas and wants.

Relationships

The driving force behind every project at Evolo is our unique relationship of mutual trust we build with each client. Every choice is specific to the client, and our skill set as designers enables us to nimbly and effectively respond to a project’s individual set of challenges and opportunities. The end result is a beautiful space original to who each client is.

We believe in the power of technology and the luxury of working remotely. Traveling as needed for consultations and leveraging the latest technology to reach our clientele, we are able to design across the nation while still maintaining a personal touch. From northern Michigan to South Carolina, Nevada to Massachusetts- our clients have placed their trust in our design expertise and highly-organized team.

Trades as Art

In our efforts to deliver our clients the highest quality work possible, we not only strive to stay abreast of the newest product offerings but also go beyond this to research and discover tradespeople, artists truly passionate about their craft, in fields such as tile installation, painting, wallpaper installation, and carpeting. We commission qualified and specialized artisans who bring quality workmanship to all of our installations, whether it be a hand-pieced mosaic pool grotto or a one-of-a-kind commissioned art piece. We tailor every step of the design process to provide clients with both a customized design experience and final space.

Jay Takach

Jay Takach has been working in interior design for the past 8 years after attending the University of South Carolina with experience in both residential design and boutique hospitality design. He has designed interiors in greater Cincinnati and throughout the country. He worked for the prestigious Friedmutter Group in Las Vegas including projects such as the MGM Grand Casino, Station Casinos, and several restaurants. Growing up on the water in South Carolina along with his love for historical Charleston provided the driving force in him becoming an interior designer.
He has taken inspiration from many of the great pioneers of interior design; Charles Faudree, Mario Buatta, and Barbara Barry to name a few. In serving his clients, his goal is to create a space that reflects their tastes, inspires them, and exceeds their every expectation.
Jay’s ability to meet design criteria while staying in budget allows him to be key design resource in the region. With a keen sense of style and color, he is a trusted advisor on projects large and small. His experience in the hospitality market gives him a great advantage in the use of a unique and varied library of materials for his projects. His intuition, ability to listen, and authentic Southern Gentleman-like manners leaves his clients with great appreciation for his talent. Jay is in demand to speak on a variety of design related topics where he has quickly earned a place as one of the region’s most respected designers.
When he is not busy working on a variety of projects, you can find him boating in South Carolina, watching his beloved USC Gamecocks, and spending time with his family.
